You get value for money in Hotel Prinz Eugen. Excellent location - next to Wien Hauptbahnhof offering frequent and cheap transport to an from the airport. Streetcars and Metro (U-bahn) within walking distance, and five minutes walk from Belvedere. Interesting walks into the center of Wien: Staatsoper, museums e.g. Albertina and lovely cafées. Clean and nice rooms with newly renovated bathrooms. Excellent breakfast. Nearby restaurants to be recommended. Ask for a room facing the back yard. Wiedner Gürtel is a busy street. Serviceminded and kind staff. Happy holiday!
Nothing really! Well, the hotel looks a bit shabby from the outside; but you can't tell a book by its cover.

The short story is that I needed a room for 2 nights so I could be at the same hotel as friends who already had rooms. Despite there being 'no rooms available', Jessica and Emanuel took the time and effort to accommodate me. I was very impressed and very grateful. Because of those 2 very helpful and friendly people, my stay in Vienna was wonderful. The room, although overlooking the main street, was quiet except for a few rumbles as the early morning trucks went past - but nothing serious. The breakfast is excellent - huge choice and good quality.
